How do I sign up for MIFP?
You sign up through the MIFP online application.
How will I be notified who my Community Friend is?
MIFP will send you contact information about your Community Friend by regular mail after you are matched with a friend.
I have not heard from my Community Friend? What do I need to do?
Please call or email your Community Friend if you have not heard from them within a week.
I have dietary restrictions or health issues that my Community Friend does not know about. How should I handle this problem?
You are responsible for communicating clearly with your Community Friend. However, if you need assistance, please contact International Students and Scholars.
I have a personal problem. Can my Community Friend help me?
Your Community Friend is not responsible to solve your personal problems such as finances, health, and visa issues. Contact International Students and Scholars for assistance.
My Community Friend asked me to participate in an activity that I feel uncomfortable. What do I need to do?
Community Friends should not ask you to work for them, to attend religions events if you do not wish to attend, or to participate in other activities that would make you feel uncomfortable. Please let your Community Friend know that you do not want to participate in such activities. If you need assistance, contact International Students and Scholars.
